Educators Guide

Coming  on May 18, 2021

WHR final coverWe Hereby Refuse will be accompanied by a free online Educators Guide for secondary schools, in collaboration with the Wing Luke Museum of the Asian Pacific American Experience and the YURI Education Project.

The Educators Guide will include lesson plans, character biographies, and an interactive timeline correlated by page number with the book and linked for student exploration to a rich database of the primary materials used in development of the text.

It will be aligned with Washington State Social Studies Learning Standards, which consist of Essential Academic Learning Requirements (EALRs) and Grade Level Expectations (GLEs) that describe what students should know and be able to do in social studies skills, civics, economics, geography, and history.
