This poster art for my public talk on April 22 says it all

I’m speaking April 22 at Wellesley College near Boston on the above topic, but this stunning poster design by Soe Lin Post of Wellesley deserves a post of its own.

It brilliantly links the reports of ICE kidnappings and deportations that are rapidly escalating across the country with figures from our graphic novel, We Hereby Refuse: Japanese American Resistance to Wartime IncarcerationThe juxtaposition of the jetliner on the tarmac with figures drawn by Ross Ishikawa of Japanese Americans forcibly removed from their homes in 1942, says it all. I need say nothing more.

For those who’ve already asked, there will be no recording of the event, but given the urgency of the moment I will most likely post some version of my remarks here after the fact.
